Portuguese manufacturer of paints and varnishes CIN has revealed the colour trends for 2020 in the latest edition of the colour card Color Revelation. The 2020 colour of the year is Pink Oyster, which aims at communicating happiness, softness and optimism.
Color Revelation 2020 colour palette by CIN features 40 colours in total, with 8 new shades across 4 colour spectra that encompass the textures found in natural elements: Pink Oyster #E735, chosen as colour of the year 2020, Soft Grey #E733, Charcoal #E734, Red Clay #E736, Seaside #E740, Light Blue #E739, Olive #E737 and Rainforest #E738.
CIN´s Colour Designer Céline de Azevedo explained that the 8 new shades launched this year "will further enrich the harmonious and coherent colour palette that the brand has been developing throughout the 4 years of Color Revelation".
Architects, designers and interior decorators who wish to create harmonious, fresh, luminous and elegant environments can count on Pink Oyster, the colour chosen to represent 2020 and inspired by the pink Pleurotus mushroom.
CIN aimed at designing colours that flee from conventional standard, awakening sympathy, sweetness and optimism with its delicate tones, and that express the pure forces of nature.
