ALIT Technologies Presents its In-line Paint Stripping System for Hooks, Fastrip ISP

Date: 20/11/2020

ALIT Technologies developed an in-line paint stripping system of hooks and frames, which can be integrated into existing production lines.

The specialist in paint stripping products and technologies, ALIT Technologies, has developed a system which allows the in-line paint stripping of hooks.

Developed with a modular design, the Fastrip ISP system can be integrated into existing production lines, optimizing both cycle times and process costs.

Consisting of a horizontal tank, above which a rail runs for the in-line handling of hooks and frames intended for electrostatic coating operations, the Fastrip ISP system allows to carry out paint stripping operations without removing the hooks from the chain. In fact, the hooks are immersed and move inside the paint stripping bath for a variable time of about 3 minutes. Once out of the chemical bath, the hooks and frames are ready to be used in a new coating cycle.

The modular design of Fastrip ISP can reach lengths of 6 meters, a capacity of 2 tons and a hook immersion depth of 30 cm.

Moreover, the system can be completed with a water rinse module to remove the residual paint stripping oil and an infrared lamp module for drying.

The advantages of Fastrip ISP

Fastrip ISP eliminates the necessity of manually removing the hooks from the chain, thus ensuring optimized cycle times and process costs. The process itself is easier to manage, because there's no need for machine down time to clean the tank. In addition, the active paint stripping solution doesn't need to be changed, because one product is used for forming the tank and one for feeding, while the stripping sludge is filtered by a filter press that produces a dry residue to be disposed of. Fastrip ISP can be used to strip any kind of metal, as it ensures no chemical attack on metal surfaces, even with light alloys.

ALIT's customer testimonials

There are several customer testimonials from companies of over twenty countries around the world that have installed the Fastrip ISP system range.

One of the latest testimonials is of a major Eastern European company that commissioned a system which installation was completed in remote, during the lockdown period imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic.

"Although we received this request during the most critical period of the pandemic, that is, when national and international travel was completely forbidden, with the collaboration of the entire technical team of ALIT Technologies, working through remote connection, we were able to provide the customer with the optimal solution. Finally, in September, we supplied them with a tank type 1600, among the largest in terms of size of the ISP range", explains ALIT's CEO Loris Rossi in an article published on our magazine ipcm® International Paint&Coating Magazine. "This plant, designed remotely by our staff, has a few particularly innovative features, that is, the ultrasound devices that we managed to integrate directly on the tank walls and the filter press with a vibratory hopper. This feeds the decanter for the use of a new flocculate called AlitFlock 4840, developed by us to make the stripping sludge mass much drier".
